Start with a direct answer
State who the page serves and what the reader should understand or do by the end. Identify the existing URL or explain why a new page is needed. Write the main answer before expanding the outline.
Search-led content brief
Turn search intent into page structure, evidence requirements and internal links.
Specify the original material
List the expert input, examples, screenshots or records required. Mark anything not yet available instead of replacing it with invented proof. Tell the writer which claims need a source and who can verify business-specific information.
Define acceptance
Include intended internal links, the next action and the responsible reviewer. Check that the draft answers the original task, works on mobile and does not duplicate another page. Keep review ownership with the brief after publication.
Put the guidance to work
Capture your starting point, assign an owner to the next action, and decide what evidence will confirm that it worked.
